Summary: Unpile is an inventory management app for resellers. We collect only the data necessary to provide our services. Your photos are processed by AI for item identification, and your inventory data is stored securely. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time through the app settings.

Unpile collects information to provide and improve our inventory management services. Here is what we collect and why:

1.1 Information You Provide
- Account registration: Email address, password (encrypted), display name
- Inventory items: Photos, titles, descriptions, prices, categories, conditions, and other listing details
- Profile information: Optional profile photo, preferences, and settings
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device information: Device type, operating system version, app version
- Usage data: Features used, app interactions (for improving the service)
- Crash reports: Technical data to fix bugs and improve stability
1.3 Information We Do NOT Collect
- Location data (GPS coordinates)
- Contacts or address book
- Browsing history outside the app
- Health or fitness data
- Financial account information (handled securely by payment processors)
2. Third-Party Services
Unpile uses trusted third-party services to provide functionality. Each service has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data:
Google Gemini - AI Image Analysis
- Purpose: Analyzes photos of items to identify products, suggest titles, descriptions, and categories
- Data sent: Photos of items you scan or import
- Retention: Photos are processed in real-time and not permanently stored by Google for this service

- Purpose: Secure database storage, user authentication, and file storage
- Data stored: Account information, inventory data, uploaded photos

RevenueCat - Subscription Management
- Purpose: Processes subscriptions and manages billing through Apple App Store
- Data shared: Purchase receipts, subscription status, anonymous user identifier
- Note: RevenueCat does not have access to your payment details - those are handled directly by Apple

SerpApi - Pricing Guidance
- Purpose: Retrieves eBay sold listings to help you price items competitively
- Data sent: Search queries based on item titles (no personal information)

PostHog - Usage Analytics
- Purpose: Anonymous usage analytics to understand how features are used and improve the app experience
- Data sent: Feature interactions (e.g., scans started, paywall views), device type, and app version. Events are linked to an anonymous user identifier.

Sentry - Error Monitoring
- Purpose: Captures crash reports and errors to help us fix bugs and improve app stability

3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to:
- Provide our services: Store and manage your inventory, process subscriptions
- Improve the app: Analyze usage patterns to enhance features and fix bugs
- Communicate with you: Send service-related notifications and respond to support requests
- Ensure security: Protect against fraud, unauthorized access, and abuse
We do NOT:
- Sell your personal information to third parties
- Use your data for targeted advertising
- Share your inventory data with other users without your consent
- Access your photos for any purpose other than the AI analysis you request

5. Data Retention
- Active accounts: Data is retained as long as your account is active
- Deleted accounts: All personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days of account deletion
- Backup retention: Encrypted backups may persist for up to 90 days for disaster recovery, then are permanently deleted
6. Your Rights and Choices
6.1 Access Your Data
You can view all your data directly within the Unpile app at any time. Your inventory, profile information, and settings are always accessible to you.
6.2 Delete Your Data
Account Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by going to Settings > Account > Delete Account within the app. This action is permanent and will remove all your inventory data, photos, and account information.
6.3 Data Portability
You can export your inventory data from within the app. Contact us at thomasmulugeta88@gmail.com if you need assistance with data export.
6.4 Opt-Out Options
- Marketing emails: Unsubscribe link in every email (note: we send minimal marketing)
- Push notifications: Manage in your device settings
- Analytics: Usage analytics are anonymous and do not use advertising identifiers. To request removal of your analytics data, contact us at thomasmulugeta88@gmail.com
7. Regional Privacy Rights
7.1 European Union (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation:

Unpile is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. 8. International Data Transfers
Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your country of residence, including the United States. These countries may have different data protection laws. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including standard contractual clauses approved by relevant authorities, to protect your data during such transfers.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will:

- Notify you through the app or via email for material changes
- Give you the opportunity to review changes before they take effect
Continued use of Unpile after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
